[ one of her wings lifts away. she isn't crying, but she looks like she wants to sleep for a long time. ]

... We can hold it together, but you may have to hold a bit more tonight. I'm not giving up, but I'm more tired than I'd like to be.

[ablazement]

Gods, do I feel that.

I can. [hold it, she means.] D'you want to come down here?

You can jump. I'll catch you.

[sonorant]

[ she looks down for a long moment. there is some comfort for robin in being up higher, but there isn't much reason for her to refuse.

she shifts to her feet before she hops out of the tree and towards karlach. ]

[she catches her! easy. no problem at all.

she's just going to hold her in a princess carry for a moment, because it's nice to hold people, and then:]

[ she flashes the smallest and quickest of smiles even if it's still sad. ]

With falling, or being caught?

[she'll put her down after a moment, but she stays close.]

Both. Although they were mostly scripted, so it's a little less fun.

[ she'll reach for karlach's hand to hold. ]

[takes her hand! her shoulders ease up.]

[ she lets karlach lead them wherever. ]

I'm still worried about what's going to come next.

Think all of us are.

[she doesn't go anywhere in particular, she just wants to move.]

We'll lose at least two more people tomorrow. And then we've got to start it all over again.

[sonorant]

[ they can walk idly. ]

Time's like this I wonder if I should think about finding my partner again, so I could wish to save at least one of them.

[ablazement]

I've been thinking about it too for the same reason.

[despite the fact that everybody keeps telling her to save herself, but never mind that.]

[ she's firm about it. ]

It feels like an eon has passed each week. [ ... ] I do not mind sharing what my affinity is with you, if you are willing. Even if we aren't a match.

I think I've heard of oni in another star system, but no one has mentioned oni to me here before now. If I do, I'll try to guide them to you. [ if they're willing. ]

Unexpected? Most of the people who've caused trouble.... I feel like it's expected.

[ she squeezes back. ]
