[ Voids us. He's looking up when Robin passes by wherever.

Huh...
]

Robin.

[ That's a greeting. He's observing her to see if she looks any better than when he saw her last. ]

I'm not too familiar with birdwatching hobby, but I can tag along, sure. Better than sitting around staring at the same three things over and over again.

[ Daan has joined the party, etc. ]

[ He just kind of inherently stiffens up when she closes in for a hug, but that's nothing new. He always gets jumpscared by sudden physical contact, has been since W0. He almost forgets out of sheer surprise but he gives her kind of a vague one back before she lets go, remembering it's the whole new rule and stuff. The barking wasn't awful but it was annoying... ]

...We're a bit opposite, then. Saw a lot of nature when I was a kid -- I could never go camping again for the rest of my life and I'd be alright with that.

It's still better than a number of the other places. Though the new cabins in the other camp are surprisingly passable.

[ They've got bathrooms and fridges... woh... ]

You haven't really told me about it.

[ I don't recall whether she's mentioned keeping birds at all but he has not heard the charmony dove story. ]

[ If only they had Abella... master mechanic right there, could probably figure out electrical wires. ]

Might have to move out a bed or two, but I'm sure we could clear out a room. Donate some extra beds to the other places, replace it with a fridge...

[ That'd be nice? Also stop, Sunday just never shutting up about his charmony dove allegory. I hope I get scapegoated as a true Catholic and it's just my villain speech. ]

...It sounds like a nice story. Glad you could get it back to health.

[ SIKE ]

I don't think I saw any plugs... we have magically lit traditional lanterns. Should've asked for a generator a while ago...

[ Booooo their lack of electricity. ]

I suppose it's like watching a baby take its first steps. A foal learning how to walk.

Setting off to be what you're meant to be and where you belong.

Depends on whether there's enough electronics to justify getting one. Mr. Matsuno has some sort of miniature solar-powered generator for his... phone?

[ He still thinks its so bizarre that that thing is a phone but damn. The future... ]

Maybe, maybe not. There's just something striking about stepping out from the shadow into the sun.

He arranged to have one of those video games set up in the mortuary? He had me play some but I really am afraid I don't understand...

[ So the mortuary just. Has a TV, a Wii, anad power now. That's so funny. ]

...Sure, that works too, probably.

[ I THINK PEOPLE HAVE OOCLY/IN META BEING LIKE WE SHOULD ASK FOR LOCKS SINCE W0 BUT NOBODY APPARENTLY ACTUALLY ASKED FOR LOCKS

The development of the cavity magnetron in the United Kingdom made possible the production of electromagnetic waves of a small enough wavelength (microwaves) to efficiently heat up water molecules. American electrical engineer Percy Spencer is generally credited with inventing the modern microwave oven after World War II from radar technology developed during the war. Named the "RadaRange", it was first sold in 1947.

What's a microwave oven...?

A record player could be pretty nice, actually?

[ 1942. But also America kind of doesn't exist in his world, not in the same way. ]

I don't particularly have one... I don't think I'm that picky. If it sounds nice, it works.

...Great. Could be a nice thing for morale then.

I'm surprised people still have the energy to keep trying to put them together.

[ Anisphia, girl. You tried. Some part of Daan appreciates the effort even if he refused to turn up. ]

Good for them, I suppose... picking up scraps at this point.
