Some calendars are split into twelve months, depending on the star system and planet. Others are based on an Aeon's actions.
[ amber era is cool as idea, horrible to try to parse and explain in rp. ]
But yours sounds very similar to some that I know of.

Aeons are what we call our gods. They preside over Paths that some may choose to follow.

With some, it's less religious in the sense of prayer, but more... the way they live aligns with what an Aeon represents.
And it's not as if everyone who says they follow a Path acts in the way their Aeon prefers.
