[ robin can find him seated on a bench somewhere, arms tucked into the sleeves of his yukata, just looking up at the night sky. he'll give her a small smile when he hears her, though. ]

Ah, Robin-dono. Care to join me? It's been a long day.

It feels like that happens so often with these trial rituals. Watching someone afflicted lost control, attacking the rest while they remember to vote... It gets incredibly frustrating, when all you can do is watch.

How are you feeling, after watching from this side for the first time?

Watching such things feels strange, but it is one of the only ways we can stay informed, unfortunate as it is.

[ dips his head in a short bow. ]

It does. As confusing as it was to be on the other side, I'd have much preferred it so that we could have been more helpful - and many of us probably feel the same. Having the answers and not being able to step in... It's a heavy burden on the heart.

History is always written by the ones who survive, for better or worse.

But you're right. There are struggles on all sides - as there always are. The best we can do is support each other, share with them what we can, and try to solve the problems we can from here, like what to do with the rocks or the machine we'll have to build.

We could certainly send a letter or two, though.

[ bad time for a joke? ]

Mm, so they've said. But it's our choice what to do with the machine, ultimately - Scien-dono said he'd simply help to make it happen. But we'll have to decide soon.

Transportation wouldn't be such a terrible thing. We do need a way home.

...But something Scien-dono said stuck with me. We are in a different dimension, apparently, still alive and supposedly free of the cult's influence, and yet - any abilities we would have otherwise had are still bound. It makes me wonder if that would be fixed even if we did have a way to return home.
