[ At the least, it doesn't feel bad. Her brother's presence is like a guide more than an outright ghost, something calling her forth to the truth that lies hidden. The dove flutters along, just out of her sight, barely there enough to make sure she knows exactly where to go.
Another car, more silence. There's unlocked suitcases, briefcases amidst the aisle, inviting hre to take a look, maybe borrow an item or two if she so desires. Their owners sleep away quietly, entirely unaware. No other doors seem to unlock either, only the ones that lead her to the front of the train.
The luggage piles up more and more as she proceeds. Way too many of them, more than there are people on this train -- you know that for certain. The pale blue glow of the bird flits past them and around a corner, which is strange, given train cars shouldn't really have turns... but should she approach, she'll find a bizarre gap of darkness there, created by an archway of bags and belongings. A doorway into the unknown. She won't be able to see a thing. ]
[ She finds... two blue vials! She inherently knows these to be a healing thing. Don't make a Wolfwood joke . . . these don't have any drawbacks, they're just extracts created from healing blue herbs. She also finds a kitchen knife. These won't be missed at all if she wishes to take them with her.
The abyssal doorway awaits. If she listens quietly, she hears the distant sound of turning gears. ]
[ i wouldn't have thought of wolfwood until you brought him up but now i'll be like the dots are connecting.....
anyway, she'll take the healing vials and with some hesitation, she'll take the knife. she doesn't like to use violence, but it's more justifiable when fogs do some crazy things these days.
there doesn't seem to any way but into the abys, so into the abyss, she goes! ]
[ That's not a character-specific thing at least it just so happens that healing items in this game come in blue vials, generically. Anyway I won't deny allegations but I will say Daan is more of a Steven than a Wolfwood.
She walks into the darkness and it feels so strange. Is she upright or upside down? Is she walking straight or in meandering curves? She loses all sense of direction and time, entering a place where physics don't make sense.
All the while, she can smell an ever-present stench of rust, copper, and sulfur.
Eventually she'll exit out into a strange room. The wood is rotting and the entire place dim, and there's massive gears that continually turn with groaning difficulty. She can see multiple tables with odd manufactured trinkets atop them, but before she can take it in, she'll find herself being screamed at.
"YOU!" snaps a sharp voice of an angry madman that marches right up to Robin. He is disgusting, naked with tools pierced through his arms and legs. There's a strange metal contraption protruding from his back, his flesh attached to it. A bloody, machete-like weapon in one arm that he waves around with wild abandon. Blue paint mars his face and bald head, framing wild bloodshot eyes. Spit flies from his mouth as he reaches to grab Robin by the arm.
"I've been looking for you EVERYWHERE! Just where do you think you ran off to? Don't you understand the hurry we are in?!"
With that, he'll start yanking her to drag her deeper into the room. ]
[ i can see that, even if there is a pipeline between steven and ww.
at least, being from a land of dreams where perspective can change depending on how you think means she won't be too discombobulated by not knowing up from down or straight from curves. wall walking is a thing of dreams.
the smell is different, and so is being yelled out by a naked and angry madman. she's startled long enough to be grabbed. ]
Where are you taking me?
[ she tries to pull her arm out of this man's grasp as she's being dragged. ]
[ IT'S NOT A PIPELINE WHEN IT'S JUST THE SAME CHARACTER REHASHED BY THE AUTHOR
The madman just yanks her a bit harder, yelling back at her. There is spit flying.
"To your SEAT! It's time to get to work!" is all he says. Well, true to his word he's definitely taking her towards a bench in the back where there's a lot of bizarre half-finished wooden cubes waiting, if she lets him anyway. Will you get to cubin'? ]
[ They're like... pieces and she just has to put them together to assemble them I guess, I don't know what the hell these cubes are about actually. She just has to put them together like legos though.
The janitor, which is his name I guess, stalks off once he's got her seated. To do what, who the fuck knows because it's empty in here other than for her. Well, almost. The room is dark, but she can notice someone else on the bench next-over, the quiet clacking of wood pieces as they also build CubesTM.
This can continue on for a short while before that person clearly tries to get her attention. Wow... do you recognise... the white clothes and the feathers and the halo... do you... ]
[ no..... she doesn't recognize anyone with white clothes or feathers or halos.....
but ok, she will piece these cubes together like a puzzle or like they're legos just to see if they do anything. like give her a chest of basic treasure.
when she does notice the other person, she drops the cube she's working on. ]
[ Unfortunately... no IPC-given credits piling up in your bank...
The figure who is definitely nobody she recognises ever just looks at her contemplatively. Is he an illusion? Probably. But still, he puts aside a cube with a gloved hand and gestures to the back of the room even though it looks just as dark as the rest. He points to himself, then gestures to wherever the janitor disappeared off to.
Follow me. Be careful.
And with that, he quietly stands up from his bench and abandons this fetchquest, walking off into the darkness. ]
[ she doesn't need credits... she needs relics.... that horrible rng grind... actually my robin relic grind wasn't too bad.
she contemplates staying there for a full second. it's not as if she always follows sunday even if she never wanted to step out of his shadow, but... there must be some sort of sequence to this.
once again, she goes into the darkness. goodbye, cubes that lowe has no idea what they're for. ]
[ GRITS MY TEETH IN HOW AWFUL MY RELIC GRIND HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST ENTIRE MONTH WHY DOES HSR HATE ME SO BAD SUDDENLY BECAUSE I ALSO LOST LIKE 2-3 50/50s IN A ROW WHEN I HADN'T LOST THEM FOR LIKE 9 MONTHS BEFOREHAND...
Anyway she can follow but. She'll notice that Sunday is just gone. How'd he move so fast! Weird. On the other hand when she starts moving, she almost immediately gets yelled at by our old disgusting friend here.
"HEY! Where the fuck do you think you're GOING?!" he screams as he emerges back out from the darkness. "Think you can just WALK OUT?! I ought 'ta take off those pretty legs of yours, that'll teach YOU!"
Unfortunately, he seems incredibly serious about this actually. He is absolutely going for trying to grab her and shove her down so he can machete hack her legs. ]
[ NOOOOO LOOOOOOWE your luck is cycling MAY IT CYCLE BACK TO BEING GREAT but i get you i don't have any relics maxed for firefly because i can't get a break effect substat to save my life
why did this guy have to come back? she should have known. ]
Please stay silent.
[ she isn't just going to take this, unfortunately. she has places to be. things to do. she doesn't fear death or have much self-preservation, but she's not just going to suffer pain like this.
she gets shoved down, but she takes the knife she found earlier and lunges for his hand to try to stab it. ]
[ The man looks like he's about to burst a vein, like his eyes are going to pop out of his head when she dares talk back.
"You... you... YOU... fucking whelp! Ingrate! Do you even know how important this is?! I'll teach you, I'll show you --!"
He can get stabbed, but this man is uhhh crazy. She'll notice that one of his hands is actually not even a full hand, it's just a stump, with which he'll attempt to start beating her with it, while she has to contend with the machete in the other. Which hand is she going for? Whichever one, she gets hit with the opposite.
She can aim for his head (very difficult), his arms, his torso, his legs... uh, his nuts if you want to I guess... ]
[ it is smarter to go with the hand with the machete. she can be beaten by the stump.
it's fine. she's been beaten up by anti aqua this game. she can handle it. she won't think of his nuts just yet, so she aims for his torso next. that's a pretty broad target area usually. ]

she can take the spit, maybe. she lets herself be taken to the bench and she looks down at these cubes.
what is she supposed to do with these? when you say half-finished wooden cubes.... do you mean like they still need to be carved or built? ]
